Dive into STEM this summer with Code Wiz!
Experience different activities including Battle Bots, coding, math board games, playtime with Minecraft/Roblox, cybersecurity workshops and more!
Children should provide their own lunch. Weather permitting, each day will include outdoor play time.
Build Your Own Mobile App:
Spend the day programming fun android mobile apps while gaining the required skills required to be an app developer! Create Doodle apps, basketball trivia, space invaders, and your very own “Google” search engine! You will be able to innovate and also acquire computational skills with the MIT media lab learning environment. The colorful visuals and appealing animations will stir your creativity. When you're done with your app, you can push the app to your mobile device to play with friends and family at home!
Apps work on both IOS and Android devices!
Concept Your Kids Will Learn
Campers will learn how mobile apps are developed and the steps that are needed to make a fully functional app for a mobile device. Each child will learn how to create, design, and implement games and apps that they use on a day-to-day basis. In addition to app specific concepts, the students will learn basic to advanced coding skills, creativity and problem solving skills.
Camp Outcomes
Campers will end the week with functional mobile apps which will work on any device. Their projects will have a variety of their own animations, learn to code, and have the tools to be a mobile app developer. Optional: Having a mobile device to display when camp is over.
Make Your Own Games & Animations:
Dive into the world of code by coding your own space shooter games, trivia games, music bands, beautiful computer-generated art and math simulations or tell a story! Perfect for the young beginner, drag n drop coding is the perfect way to start learning to code all while having a good time! Using code blocks that snap together, you can go from newbie to pro without a ton of typing. All you need is a little imagination and you can start to create anything you want including drawing your own characters!
Camp Outcomes: By the end of the camp week, each camper will obtain an understanding of programming, learn to debug code, express their design and implementation while ultimately having many projects to show.
Build your own Robots/BattleBOTS:
In our LEGO We do Robotics course, you'll have hands-on experience in building STEM projects! Using LEGO block and coding with drag n drop techniques, you'll get to build your own robotic models and create the code to make your robots come alive! You will use motors, motion sensors, tilt sensors to make fun robots! You'll also have the opportunity to participate in FLL Jr. challenge! and BattleBots!
Camp Outcomes: By the end of the week, each camper would have created their own robots! They will have learned how to make their robots come alive using drag and drop coding. They will have learned about using motors to build motions, motion sensors and so much more.
